Four archives and museums of psychiatric history collaborated to produce europeanjourneys.org as one strand of a project entitled “Exploring the European Mind” supported by the Culture 2000 programme of the European Union. The partners were:
- Museum Dr Guislain in Ghent
- Bethlem Royal Hospital Archives & Museum in south-east London
- Het Dolhuys in Haarlem
- The Prinzhorn Collection of Psychiatric Art of the University of Heidelberg
Website content was written by Colin Gale, Melanie van der Hoorn, Candido de Leij, Peter Lloyd, Frederik De Preester, Thomas Röske, Ailie Smith, and Joost Vijselaar. The website structure was developed by Colin Gale and Ailie Smith using the Online Heritage Resource Manager developed in Australia by Austehc.
Attempts to contact those who hold copyright in the various images contained in europeanjourneys.org have not always proved successful. The partners would welcome contact from anyone with residual copyright interests.
